OWH Memorial Day 2015: Finishing Strong!
Operation Write Home, a charity that has supported heroes with handmade cards since 2007, will be closing later this year. It is an organization that has been near and dear to many of us card makers at Words 2 Scrap By!
So, we here at W2SB are helping to get the word out that ALL cards need to be sent in by August 1st!
The theme for this year's bloghop is to make cards featuring red, white, and blue. Of course, OWH-sketch-inspired cards are always welcome. :)

W2SB #17: Say Cheese

Wow! What a great group of entries in honor of Earth Day! Special shout out to Cebelica for her gracious participation as our April guest designer and to the Shopping Our Stash gals for playing along with our The-Earth-Has-Music Challenge.
Did you know May is National Photography Month? Taking photographs and paper crafting are two ways we commemorate life events.
This month's challenge is to create a card or project inspired by that oft heard picture-taking phrase Say Cheese! Maybe you'll choose to commemorate a grand event -- like a milestone birthday or big family wedding, or a quieter event -- like waking up to the smell of freshly-brewed coffee or seeing spring's first flowers.
Let's see what moments and events our I-Teamers have chosen to commemorate.
This month, we are thrilled to welcome Diane as our Guest I-Teamer! Isn't her card "picture perfect" for the challenge?!? And, talk about some serious coloring skills! Thanks so much for joining us, Diane. :)
Annie couldn't have designed a more perfect vintage card for her dad's 93rd birthday! This card is sure to rekindle a memory or two for her dad, the little guy on the left who is shown with Annie's grandfather and aunt.
Yep, it looks like Fritz takes Top Dog honors and his owner is in the running for Top Designer with this adorable card! It is just so fun and playful... and something tells me Fritz is pretty fun and playful himself. Too cute! :)
Penny's card is a work of heart that any mom would love to receive! She's sure used an ideal layout to showcase those two sweet faces. :)
Sybrina's little critter looks pretty darn happy to be sending greetings from the island to loved ones back home! Love the beachy colors on this card. :)
As for my card, I went in a slightly different direction -- giving a whole new meaning to the word cheesecake!
What will you commemorate with your paper project? Our favorite will win a trio of Halloween stamps -- perfect for commemorating those say-cheese trick-or-treat childhood moments. In addition, our winner will receive our W2SB Winner's Badge and be invited to join us as a Guest I-Teamer.
